Im putting a 4bt in my xj with a dodge nv4500 and a atlas 2 I just dont what gear ratio to get in the atlas 2.
I was thinking 4.3 but I dont know how the torque of the diesel is going to ride or should I get the 3.8.
Is there anyone out there running a 4bt with an nv4500 and a atlas 2 and what gears are you running

Call Advance Adapters, I've heard they have good customer service. Your axle gearing will factor into your t-case gearing decision as well.

I'm a 4bd1t . 4.10 gears in axle. Th350 and a np231 2.72 4lo on 42s and I think I could be lower for crawling by a lot. The torque helps but if you want a little wheel speed just choose higher gear. I would shoot for at least 50-1 crawl. I'm at 28-1 and would like to be lower.
