I'm using a 89 model GM 1500 4x4 to make a on/offroad buggy I want to take to front ends and weld the frames together. This will allow me to have 4 wheel independent suspension and 4 wheel steer. Has anyone done this? Any suggestions or pics on how to flip the rear axle?

If you flip the rear axle it's going to do some killer burnouts in 4wd. Do it and report back with video! :flipoff2:

If you flip the rear housing it will rotate the opposite of the front.
Think about it for a second......... :jester:

Also, I would look for 2500/3500 front suspensions for your truggy. The weak 1500 front diff will probably die a quick death in the rear of a buggy with any kind of horsepower. Not only are the 1500 front diffs weak, the ring gear is small and you will be running on the coast side of it.

You’re thinking when you flip an axle upside down. But swapping a from to back will run the same direction, just on the coast (weaker) side of the ring gear.
