ok, so what are the burly 5 speed trannys that come in Land Cruisers in other countries? I saw some at Specter, but can't remember what they were called
also does anyone know what gears they have and where (website) I could find the lowdown on the current drivetrain parts like t-cases and ratios for late model (fj-80) LC's?

is that the tranny you can get in the newest Land Cruisers?
I thought the one I saw was bigger than that?

I think you were thinking of the H150f/H151f? Large aluminum case with reinforcing ribs?

These 5 speeds came when the 80 series was introduced in late 1990. The H55f was never used in the 80 series. When the 1FZF(E) engine became available in 1993, the FZJ7# series also got the H151f while the HZJ7# kept the H55f until 2000 when it was replaced by the R151f.

The ratios are:
H150f
1st 4.53
2nd 2.46
3rd 1.49
4th 1.00
5th 0.88
Rev 4.31

H151f
1st 4.08
2nd 2.29
3rd 1.49
4th 1.00
5th 0.88
Rev 4.31

The transfer ratio is 2.48

Not that I know of. I'm not sure if the Canadian mine trucks have them, but I think they only get naturally aspirated diesels. These either get the H55f or the R151f elsewhere.

Specter is the only place that sells these AFAIK.
