'89 needs new engine, 6G72 vs 6G74
I have a stock '89 Montero LS 3.0L V6. I would like to know if the 6G74 3.5L V6 from a '94 Montero SR is interchangeable with little or no mounting mods. Any pro's or con's or should I just stick to getting a 3.0L?

Totally incorretIIRC....NO.
i think you will need to wsap transmssion and all electrics too.
sounds like a hassle to do. probably better to get the 94 sr as ur main rig.
That would be pretty cool to drop the 1995 3.5 and trans into a 1989 short based montero.

My friend is doing exactly this right now in his 90, I'll see if he's going to document the swap somewhere. I just gave him diagrams for the 90 and for the 95 SR donor.
