ive already go a 3 pos ts chip, 4" turbo back exhaust, and guages.. from doin a little bit of research i think im gonna go with the 38R turbo, K&N cold air intake, cfm intake manifold, switch to the 6 pos ts chip, 160cc stage 2 single shot injectors, and im still not sure on which intercooler to go with.. suggestions.? and will those mods require any other mods that HAVE to be done like HPOP or better fuel pump?

A regulated return would be a good idea, the stock fuel pump will run the stage 2's without dropping pressure. Who's injectors are you going to go with?

I'd go electric fuel just to get that crap out of the valley. Probably going to need a better HPOP unless yours is really strong.

Run a tymar style filter instead of the K&N. Go to napa and get the baldwin filter (can't remember the number) and get a 45 degree 4" elbow from an exhaust shop.

-Well clearly not enough research. K&N is useless, go on the diesel sites and look up "dusting". Again the DIY 6637 intake is simple, cheap, and very effective.
-You probably won't need an intercooler with the 160cc single shots. I have slightly bigger single shots and don't need one. If you are just going for straight up power, get a set of Hybrids. Put the money towards a cooling mist water/meth set up. I've got the CGMS or whatever with the pod mount controller.
-You will HAVE to get some transmission work done. I couldn't even drive the truck in anything other than "heavy tow" mode with the goodies in the truck before I put the south bend in. Clutch slipped constantly.
-Get a Fuel/water separator as well, I like my Airdog...you'll want to keep those injectors happy with clean dry fuel.

I'm assuming OBS since he is asking about an intercooler, e-fuel is a good idea, superduty HPOP would help with whatever injectors you choose. Id get bigger than you want, set of hybrids or something in case you want to go bigger later. You can always have bigger ones tuned down to work with your turbo and the rest of the setup. Oh and a superduty intercooler.

No joke here, especially with an auto. Ive only got Baby Swamps in mine, and i very rarely ever beat on it, but i still broke the hell out of my E4OD towing. The replacement trans is wayyy beefier.



Since we're on the subject, who here is running water/meth on their 7.3? Been thinking about getting the Snow kit for mine ('96), but im always looking for other opinions & ideas.

I have been running water for a few years, it works good keeping the EGt's in check. I use way more water than methanol though to keep my truck happier!
