I'm in the process of accumulating parts for my 1970 K20 Suburban driveline build. The finished project is going to be 350sb-4l80e-203-jeds adapter-205. I have all my parts to build the doubler (some in transit) and I'm gonna grab a junkyard 80 this weekend. My question is about mating the 80 to the 203... my 203 range box came off a th400 so I'm good on spline count... my question is this. Will my stock adapter (roughly 7/8" thick) work between the tranny and tcase? I've been clicking around and reading and it looks like the bolt pattern will be fine but there is some machine work necessary. Has anyone here done this particular tranny/tcase combination that could offer some advice? ... possibly some pictures?

Thanks in advance!
Jonah.

The output shaft on the trans is to long.

If you have the fully splined output shaft then you can cut it down and use the stock adapter.

Im fairly certain you can buy a spacer to make up the 1-1/2 ish difference.

If you havent run the trans or were planing on rebuilding anyhow i think ord sell a real outputshaft
