I have access to a late 80s 70 with a B motor in it (or was in it). I dont know all that much about them. What good stuff should I get? I already have the tranny/TC shipping. Were e lockers or mech lockers and option? Can I get them to fit in 40 or 60 series axles? ANy other good stuff?

if you need any 70 series stuff I can put you in touch direct with the seller once I get my stuff shipped. Truck is in Canada so shipping might be a bit high.

All Canadian BJ70's came with 3B's, unless a B was trasplanted. None of them came with lockers, but like TB said, Greg and Sheldon are bringing in some great stuff from overseas for 60's and 70's. If your getting the engine, make sure you get the complete harness, glow plug relays, regulators etc... The later 70's were 24volt so get the little things like wiper motors, fan motors etc... unless you're swapping it to 12volt. I'd get the "air-ride" seat bases and retro-fit them to your 40 or 60 seats. That's what i plan on doing with my parts 70.

To be clear:

A friend turned me on to this one. I am in Atlanta and have not/will not see it. The guy is parting it out and wants to get rid of all of it.

I hate to miss somthing good on it. I got the 5 spd and TC just dont know what else is worth getting. Since I cant look it over it is hard to tell.

Do you know why is he parting it out? Hows the body and frame? I'm looking for a bare body and frame, some rust is OK.
