Alright, so I bought a Suburban and it has a 700R4 and I've never worked with one...It has a thing underneath the output yoke that looks like a donut with rivets in it. Probably has about 6 or 8 around it in a ring. What in the hell is this thing? Just wondering if any of you know what this thing is.

Interesting, hadn't thought of anything like that. That's probably what it is...it doesn't touch the shaft at all, just hangs on the back of the tranny, and looks to be about 2 1/2 inches thick.
