I am thinking about going to an automatic, I know the case length on the 700R4 is 23.375, I cannot find out how long the adapter is to mount it to the Atlas. My atlas is a 23 spline input, will I have to swap the input out to make the conversion?

Thanks!

Yes I searched.... found plenty for the NP231!

Unless I'm mistaken, the atlas should use the same adapter as the 300 case.

Novak 700r4 to 300 case.

As long as thats the case, the adapter is 3.4"

A good way to go is to use this 3/4" thick billet adapter with new one-piece output shaft (23 spline) for the 700R4. It's not listed on our web site but it is the same as the 3/4" adapter for the NP231 we offer. www.jbconversions.com.
Mine is about 3.5" (700r4 27 spline to Atlas II)

I am about to do the same thing(4L60E to Atlas) there are 2 ways to do this.

1) get a 23 spline Atlas and order another output shaft($400 +/-) and get it installed($?) and the order an adapter and you are good.

2) get a 27 spline Atlas, order the adapter, order/make a spacer(3/4") and install.

this is from the tech at AA.

Good Luck,
JJ

NOTE: A 4L60E install will require a reluctor kit so it can work with the computer.
