My motor went out and I have found a wrecked 89 supra and was wondering if the 7M will fit. I know people have done it in latermodel trucks and just want to kknow if you guys think it will fit without to much trouble. I have built this truck from the frame up so I dont really know what to much trouble means. Just want some opinions. Thanks TOdd

Hey Toddy!!!

Instead of using a cherry picker.....

Let your big Hairy momma lift the motor in and out of there!!!!!!

The motor might be a little long for a truck older than 1985. I would measure the firewall to radiator support and compare this to a 1985 or later truck. If it is close, go for it.

But, If you are more than an inch or two short, forget it.

There is somewhere around a 6" difference in engine compartment lengths between the 1st & 2nd generation body styles.

I was checking out CAZ's conversion when he was here the other week and it is damn tight in the 2nd generation.

I don't think it would fit without some pretty big modifications to the engine compartment.

Considering ToyotaToddy's truck is an 85 4Runner frame with an 81 cab & front clip, 85 22RE engine, and custom flatbed - I bet he can make it work

I am gonna do some measuring and see what I come up with. If I have to move the raditor to the bed fine. I want to do something different and this I havent see done in a 1st gen. truck so I might be the first. I will keep ya posted on what I come up with.
