would it work if i put all the parts from a 8 lug nuckle onto a 5 lug nuckle? im asking this cus i have a 5 lug 44 out of a ford and i want to change it to 8 lug. i know someone with the 8 lug parts but not the nuckles and he says it might not work.

yes it will work if ya go 5 to 8 lug with the D44 1/2 ton knuckle

but you cant go 8 to 5 lug on a flat top 3/4 ton D44 knuckle

Sure you can that. The best source of 8 lug parts happens to be under 78-79 F350's. :flipoff2:

If it 1/2 to 3/4 ton it has to be 76 or newer on both the earler nuckles were 6 stud where the spindle bolts and after 76 they were 5 stud. Leadmic

I've got the 3/4 ton D44 8 lug knuckle here . It's drilled, tapped and primed .

I needed a knuckle for a 1/2 ton five lug. My calipers won't mount onto this unless I cut it. I'd much rather sell it to someone than screw it up ....and just drill and tap a 1/2 ton piece instead.
