Hey Pirates,

So i have a 84 Toyota pickup that I efi swapped but one issue I'm having is I cannot get the engine to rev up when ever i blip the throttle. Itll idle great but once i go to rev it up it creates a bog and makes popping noise out of the exhaust. Parts i have replaced were: TPS (adjusted), AFM (aftermarket), Fuel filter and O2 sensor. I have alternated between different ecus and the problem still persists. Timing is at 5*. I attached a video to give you guys a better idea of my issue. Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated.

That sure seems like an intake leak of a bad AFM, just cause it's new doesn't mean it's good. Do you have a buddy you can parts swap with? Where you located?

it looks like im missing some pins in the harness connectors? the harness if off a 1987 4runner. the ecu is unknown since the label is worn off. can this be my issue?

Once i pinch my fuel retune line from regulator the truck revs up fine like its supposed to be. any ideas what it could be? fuel pressure regulator?

Where in nor cal?
Fuel pressure... It needs it to run correctly.

You can check it at the banjo for the cold start injector.. I put a gauge on mine permanently.

Fuel pump, pressure regulator or fuel filter.

Another issue that is common in these is that the section of rubber line that goes to the fuel rail degrades inside from the ethanol in today's gasoline and very small particles will get pushed into the injectors where they get trapped in the screens and clog the injectors causing them not to be able to deliver fuel to the engine.

Go through your fuel system from one end of the other and make sure everything is right.

Ive replaced the fuel pump and it seems to run a bit better when cold but when it warms up it still bogs. maybe fpr?
Replaced FPR still bogs. I'm about to strike a match with this truck
I checked the CEL and it came back 11 and 28
