Son just called from "up north". Seems he's lost 4th gear in is badly worn '88 (W56?) We just recently aquired a '84 for a parts SAS truck. WILL THE TRANNY SWAP IN AT ALL? Any good info appreciated.
Yes, the W56 and the G52 will swap, but the T-cases will be different with respect to where the shifter mounts. Simplest way to go is to swap the whole mess (tranny and T-case) from the parts truck to the other one.
