I'm planing on swaping a 86 351W out of a f-250 into my 94 f-150 to replace my 302.

Swap on an efi manifold and slap it in or is it more complicated than that?? :confused:

EDIT: thinking of going with a zf tranny too

you will need the 5.8 intake, and computer as a bare minimum, unless you wanna change the firing order of the injectors (some people say you can run it the way it is) With the ZF, you will more than likely need a manual trans computer, and have to monkey around the neutral saftey switch and whatnot. You would need the clutch pedal assy, and a bunch of other stuff. Your best bet would be to find a complete parts truck IMO.

His truck is already 5 speed, so the ZF will be a bolt in.
To get that W in there fuellie, you'll need the intake for sure. Changing the computer would be nice, but, the 302 comp will probably run it, considering that being a 94 with a stick, his truck is speed density and batch fire, there is no need to fool with injector wiring or anything(changing the comp would do nothing like that anyhow, batch fire = all injectors on one bank fired at the same time.)

Sweet. Any guess on how long the m5od will last before i need a zf??
