Not to hijcak PBB here, but I have been spending a LOT of time on TheDieselStop.com this last two weeks looking for PSD info and other diesel info. There are several threads around here that have links to the Dodge and Chevy-targeted forums as well..
But.. I want to know the answer too, so BTT for ya.
On a PSD, I would look for some evidence that the SCAs (supplemental coolant additives) have been kept up. This stuff prevents cavitation from eating holes through the engine block into the cylinders, which is a known issue with those engines.
