I'm sorry that I can't offer advice concerning diagnostics on this one, but, swapping in a computer is a cake-walk. Just sucks having to spend the money on them.mthunter said:
I would would be curious to see if it is actually pegging out at 19 volts when this is occuring. I would bring that voltmeter along in case you get the opportunity to check it when it occurs.
