you never want your 22r to be too quiet. some valve clatter is a good thing. when your engine has no valve clatter is when you should worry. i adjust my valves when the engine is hot. and the guys that mentioned about tightening the valve cover too are right the rocker arms will hit the valve cover is the vlv cover gskt is compressed too far.
