For a go fast rig with roughly 7" of uptravel, 14" C/O.. what length air bumps are best?

I have 4" fox bumps ready to put on as we finish this rig. But I got thinking about how the bumps will affect my springs at speed. I'll only get 3" of the 7" before my bump starts compressing.

Is this the right set up? Or do I want to trade these our for bumps will less travel. Say 2" bumps. Then I get 5" of my uptravel uninhibited before the bump catches.

So what are the positives and negatives of both options?

14in front with bypasses 7in up, 3in bump spaced to 2in. All ADS racing shocks. With out bypasses you might want 3in-4in of bump. Remember your bumps need to be tuned, valving, piston bleed holes and PSI.

We used an air shock piston for more bleed in my bumps. The Bypasses have open bleed holes but still the bypass bump stage mixed with the normal Air bump piston was not enough bleed and would hydrolock. Put lighter valving in the bumps and only run about 125psi.

Keep the 4in bump and internally limit it. Gives you more tuning options.
I would start full length then limit to 3in if no Bypass shock.
