I am going to do my second alignment in two years. This last one was because of snow bashing and sliding into rocks and stuff and I turned my driver side tire out noticeable (haven't measured yet). I am wondering what tips and tricks you guys do to line the front back up to specs. The first time I used a tape measure and jack stands and measured the front and back of the tire. By the way this is my daily driver and I need it aligned but will not take it to a shop.

Thanks

You've pretty much got it, a helper and a tape. There's an easy way to make a mark on the tire that you can measure from. Jack up the front so tires can spin, paint a stripe in the center of tire with light colored spray paint and use something to scribe a line in the paint while you rotate the tire (a screwdriver on a peice of wood works). Repeat on opposite side and commence to measurein'.
