So I bought All-Pro's standard front 5" lift springs, and noticed that the stock shackles bottom out on the frame rail after about 3" of uptravel. I ended up bending a spring. When I called All-Pro, they said that I had to use their shackles at $80 plus shipping. They also never told me when I bought my springs that I couldn't run stock shackles, so I am really not happy with them and don't want to spend one more dime with them if I can help it. <IMG SRC="smilies/pissed.gif" border="0">

Here is my question. What have you guys used for shackles (other than All-Pro) on these springs that works well? I know I could buy a set of Con-Fer style shackles from a few different places, but they are 2" lift shackles, and I don't need any more lift at all. My truck is the perfect height right now.

Any comments or suggestions welcome.

You can move your forward spring mounts forward if you do not want more lift from a lifted shackle..

you need to suck it up and buy some longer shackles, I would suggest 1" lift or 2" longer shackles to keep from messing with your pinion angle to much

I use Co-Ferr that are cut down to 1 1/2" over stock, or you can make your own out of steel just like AP's. They are 1 1/2" over stock. Which is only 3/4" lift and once the springs settle you will not even notice it.
