I believe some if not all Yukon axles are made in India so I would say Alloy. My Dana 44 Yukons are not machined to exact tolerances. We'll see if anybody agrees.

they are all cast out of the same molds, so you never know what you get

most are sold in different boxes, not all but most

the only ones that I would steer clear of are genuine gears

I run Yukon's front and back with Yukon one piece axles

no problems here

If you find out that the alloys are made elsewhere, like USA made buy them

check DC4wd.com for the best deals

I am fairly sure yukon buys overstock gears from other manufactures and boxes them in their boxes. If that is the case, you could get good gears, you could get not so good gears, but the price is the same. Pay the extra money and go with something for sure good. I have always been a fan of the precision gear company.

you could always call radys and ask all about there gears. i know that they get some gears (like stock ratio) from there own gear makers, sice they have gear sets no longer available from a dealership.
