Hey I did a search and read most of the past threads on the 20 and I have come to the conclusion of using one to replace my POS 35.

My question is this (and I have searched the internet on this also to no avail) is warn the only company to make a FF for the 20? And is it worth the money? The 20 is a HD one out of a GW and is going under my ZJ. The axle shaft on the 20 is 1.29" where the 44 is 1.31" Why bother with the FF kit. Run it until you have a problem then look at the FF. Seems that it would be better to either get a 44 or a 60. You'll be doing something for the lug pattern anyways.

The AMC 20 out of the FSJ's are much tougher than the CJ version. I say run it as-is, don't worry about the FF kit.

Thanks for the tip on the FF.

As for the bolt pattern I am also putting in the 44 front. It is not the vacum disconect job so it whould work well. I have some rims for it also (cheap and ugly but round)

Might want to consider a Truss though. The axle tubes on the AMC-20's are a bit on the weak side.

I'm going to be running a FSJ AMC-20 in my XTV Project. Trussed, Full Floater and likely Rear Disk Brakes.

Mike is right. Definatly truss it, and weld the tubes to the housing. It WILL either bend the tubes or twist in the housing. This what will happen if you don't
