ive read up a little and am pretty sure but no one flat out said it, is the 2 wd box a direct bolt in on a blazer?

ive got a 76 4x4 blazer that i want to go cross over on and know i need a 2wd box but are they direct bolt in? if not whats a real strong box becuase if im gonna fab im gonna get the strongest (for rockwells plus hydro assist)

IF you stay in the same era
76/77 there was a change in the input spline
then there was a few hydraulic fittings used over the years
stay in the same year and it bolts in

Like MJ said. I got a rebuilt sub box from same year and the ragjoint/hoses/everything bolted right on.
