ok so i tried to check my timing yesterday (now knowing where the "t" terminal is) and it seemed high about 18 deg advanced. so i tried to corect it by puting it back at 5 deg where toyota said it should be at and now i have no power. so my ? is where do you guys have you timming set at with the "t" trminal jumped?

First a couple of questions.... This is an EFI rig, right? So when you jumper both terminals, does your RPM drop...? If not, check your TPS and get it adjusted correctly, then do the timing and idle adjustments.... If your not running EFI, then I won't even guess at the problem....

ya its EFI ill try that first cuz the rpm dose not drop.

ok i tried to adjust it onver the weekend and found out that part of the tps is junk it works just fine driving around town but when you stop at a light it idols at about 900-1000 rpm's. and it has been like this for as long as i have had it. is the dealer the only place to get the tps?

I checked the local shops and they were more than the dealer. What year are you looking for? I have an extra TPS from a later model truck, 89-95 I think. Your sig says you have an 85, so my extra isn't any good if that is what it is for.

The difference in the TPS's is where it plugs into the harnes.
