I have built/used the slip and twist type and the shackle type. I think the shackle type works better in letting the suspension work mor freely throughout the suspension travel.
Here is the one Jerry built on Gary Hall's rig.

Who made this front spring mount on these rear springs? I want something like that.:smokin:

ya the TG 5" springs are pretty good. i dont BS eithe. i am running the full pack so i have more up travel for hauling thru the desert. but here i am last week at PUSU, on a new full pack of TG 5" springs, and i am still flexed out nice. when i saw this pic, i was actually surprised how much flex was going one there. when i first built my ftoy, my front springs never flexed like this.
