I need the component location and wiring diagram for the oil logic unit. I suspect it is on the back side of the bank of relays behind the steering column, but I don't want to pull the brake pedal to gain access if it isn't back there.

As for the wiring, I need the color of the wire from the oil pressure sender to the logic unit and the wire color for the wire from the logic unit to the idiot light. I'm hoping to bypass the logic unit and regain functionality of the oil pressure light.

I didn't mean to denigrate anyone, just searching for the tech knowledge that I know is here.

The common fix to this problem is to either remove the fuse or cut the wire, neither of which is acceptable to me. I know damned well that once I find the correct pair of wires, I can regain the low pressure function... I tried a telephone wire tracer last night and got close, but not close enough to begin cutting wires.

If it as common as I'm told, the procedure to wire the pressure switch has got to be valuable enough to justify a quick write-up to help folks keep these trucks on the road.

Somebody knows...

Peace,
Paul

Are you talking about the "Low Oil Level Warning Logic Unit"

If so, it is a square box with a screw on each side under the lower dash panel...so all you have to remove is the lower dash panel.

It has a pigtail coming out of the bottom with a connector...looks like it is behind/below one of the dash HVAC hoses.

email me if you need a copy of the shop manual page....
