As the title ask's.

Anyone Install A LoMax D300 HD Front Output Yet?

How does the kit look and go together?

Any troubles with the machining required or the install?

Thank you

I'm thinking about one of these myself. JB Conversions has excellent installation instructions on there site. Hope this answers some of your questions.
edit:This is so new, you probably won't get too much "user" feedback. It is more involved than swapping to the HD rear output, but not too bad if you have already been in it to swap to 4:1 gears. Step 9 might be easier if you freeze the shaft overnight. These instructions are WAY better than the tera instructions with their 4:1. This looks like an excellent product to me, JB's reputation is really good also.

Like shelljeep said, it's still *very* new (BTW: LoMax is the JB 4:1 gearset, not the shaft). I just ordered one a few days ago and will probably open up my t-case over the holidays and get to work (also doing Tera 4:1, Tera HD rear output, & AA Atlas 10-spline input to mate to a 203 range box)...I'll keep you posted.

I called about ordering one of the "Dana 300 32 spline HD front output shaft kits".

The bearing retainer in the output housing needs to be machined larger than stock for the new bearing.

Just wanted to know if anyone has done this yet?

machine work

I haven't added the machine work to the instructions yet because I didn't have them on a small enought CAD dwg. to make it fit well on the site. I have since changed the drawing and it will be added to the site shortly. The machine work is very basic. All that has to be done is a small enlargement of the bore for the bearing cup. Check out the review on www.Rockcrawler.com.
