I dont see a problem with the gear, but I dont have any experience with these. Does this one look ok?

It looks like the engagement teeth are very rounded from what I can see. How does the case look? The teeth are only supposed to have a very small chamfer.

Thanks for the help, I will get a better pic this afternoon when I get home of the gear. I have these of the case. One chunk missing in the middle of a tooth, but not touching the edges.

Look for cracks at the spring holes on the engagement collar.

does it pop when turning locked? it looks hammered or crash locked to death.

I took a look at an engagement collar I have here. It actually has no chamfer on the teeth. Square edges. If you're luck you'll only need to replace the collar. I know people were all jazzed up about the Spidertrax 300m collar when it came out, but I prefer the stock ARB parts. The 300m gear just makes the case half the weak link and replacing that is like 3x the cost of an engagement collar.

Agreed that it's the collar...time for a new one. If you're competing, buy a couple so you have an extra one handy.
