i would like to peoples opinions on this i remeber David(DRM) makeing a coment on this. thinking of running stock waggy spring with a 2.5 drop front hanger and the shackle mounts underneath the frame, or have no drop hanger and run 44044 springs. so what would be ideal?

thanks

I think soft arched springs like 44044's or alpros will gain you the most. Less likely to catch a hanger or shackle. If you go to a lift spring, stiff and arched, that's when you lose your articulation. It's definately a balancing act. So many people have already done the experimenting with the 44044s and alpros that I think you would be losing that advantage if you went flat. Just my .02 <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

As was said - there needs to be a happy medium between there. Too much arch and you generally get little droop and not much compression, to flat anf you hit the hangers all the time.

I can say thought I have only hit my front hangers just a few times when I have been out wheeling, so that has really not been an issue with me.

If youn have the money, go with the All-Pro's, they seem to be that medium between what everyone is trying to achieve here. Good travel, great compression and yet still handle well on the road. If money is the issue then experiment with what you have and find your own medium. One persons likes is not the others. In other words, too softy for him but too hard for the other. Just my $.02 too.

Bush Rig runs stock waggys and they flex like no other. he has a lot of body roll whne on teh street but he does just fine driving with them. it was a lil skechy with teh 2 inch body lift but it still did just fine.
