I've found a 4.3 vortec engine and a 700R4 for 300 bones!! I know we've had a small "spiff" on what gears to run with 35's, but with a V6, I don't have a clue. I've got 4 to 1 in the first case and 4.7 in the second so crawl ratios should stil be the same right? What about the diff's? I know a 4.88 has two teeth meshing at all times so it is the probably the strongest, but would 5.29's be OK? Any advise would be great!

Is this a DD or a trail rig only? That will make a difference. If it's a trail rig only I would go with 4:10s considering what you have in your T-cases. DD I would run the 4:88s, I have a 3.0 V-6, 35" tires and I run 4:88s and it works just fine. Slows down a bit climbing hills, but I am old and not in a hurry any longer!!!

If I remember right, 4.88 came stock in a 3.0 with an auto trans and 31's, this is kind of what I'm going by when I think 5.29 would be more appropriate for the 4.3 conversion. My runner is mostly a weekend warrier, so I guess you could call it an every other daily driver.
