Hey guys, Im busy collecting parts to pull my ailing puegot out of the jeep, and replace it with a TF-999 automatic. Does anyone know where to find a COMPLETE list of all parts needed? Here's what I have so far:
Shifter
Tranny Cooler
Shift cable
tranny mount
dipstick and tube
throttle cable and brackets
Can anyone think of anything else? Is there something in there I dont need?

Is your engine fuel injected? if so does your tranny have the spot for a crank trigger sensor? If not then you will need one. Either get the kit to mount it on the harmonic balancer or modify the bell housing to hold it and get the flexplate with sensor ring on it.

get a deep pan for it, currie sell them. Also check into have a low RPM torque converter built for it. Also you should have the cooler seperate form the front radiator and if you can run a seperate electric fan just for that cooler. Both the cooler and the fan can be mounted up under your body. These tranies are notorious for over heating. All of this should help you out.

One last thing the tail shaft of the tranny I believe is different then the Peugot, so matting to your transfer case might be a problem. I will see if I can find any more inof for you.

I neglected to mention that I have a t case already attached to the tranny.. they came as a pair, so any and all worries associated with the transfer case not mating up are null and void.. I did figure that since I ahve to shorten the Driveshaft, I might as well get a slip yoke eliminator kit too.. since I dont have one.. and to be honest, thats the most expensive part of the entire swap. As far as running a deep pan and having a better torque converter on it, that will all come with time, for now, the tranny just needs to go in, because I can feel the current tranny leaving me.
Oh and babe,
Dont listen to them, I highly doubt you would want to be naked, and much less in a diveway full of oil <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

oil wrestling naked in the driveway why your swaping it out wouldnt be a bad picture either.

Moral support is good.. of course, once the transmission is in, I have to wait for a couple days for the driveshaft to get here for it <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0"> Oh well.. I guess it will all be worth it when its done. Right now Im just waiting for parts to get here....... Comeawn.. I have 6 more days till the tranny goes in.
