I am thinking about putting one piece axles in the AMC 20 in my cj and chromoly shafts inner and outer in the front 30 and running 35" tires. I am wanting to keep stock width is the main reason and i dont have the means of buying some 60s and having them narrowed. I was wandering if this would be strong enough and has anyone already done this and if so was is worth it or not?

for the rear, yes, it will be comparable in strength to a 44. the front will depend on how you drive. also, you are about to get flamed.

I have already went this route before I found out that these axles are a POS.If you just drive on the street then OK.Any serious wheeling will bend the the axle housings.

don't waste your fawkin time :flipoff2: go and buy some dana 44's out of a scout and slip them under there for less money than doing all the dana 30 and amc 20 upgrades. don't worry i asked the same question and then i wisened up and went full width and i love it would never go back to stock width. :smokin:
