I tried to go where the action would be and I got some good footage. This is all from Sunday, the Table Mesa portion of the run. I couldn't make it out to Florence Junction on Saturday so hopefully someone else can fill in the gap.

First pics are from Twisted.

Jack making a clean run at the start of Twisted, video.

Gotta love the super tight AZ trails :smokin:

Scott making a perfect run up the waterfall and thru the crack, video.

Craig in the crack.

We broke Chad's new buggy in here last time so after we fixed it we took him back to see if it would hold :D these are from Collateral Damage.

Afterwards we headed down to Annihilator. I wanted a shot at the wall. I messed around for a while but couldn't find a line.

I also had problems on the lower section of the first fall video. I would later discover I forgot to air down :shaking: I crawled the second fall easily.

Jack put on the best show. He nearly made the wall once but hit something on the top that bounced him back down. Video.

So he tries again and gets major air, he also comes to realization that maybe he does need a V8 Video. Jack eventually broke the welds on the rear driveshaft on another attempt ending his day.

Brian was up next and took a hard roll on his last attempt. My buddy Chad got some video, my memory card was full by this point. He destroyed a Krawler and put a huge dent in his cage but everyone was ok.

I bet everyone who dosent have rear steer in your bunch is asking Santa for it.:p

Great pics as always,

Dan

Meh, after wheeling with people who have it I am not all that impressed. It does help in some spots and makes for some entertaining camp driving but I am not sure it is worth the cost and added complexity.

Edit - I should add we design our rigs to fit our trails. I know you would have to have rear steer with a buggy like yours to even attempt something like Twisted.

Always bringing the good weekend vids and pics!!
Thanks.

I'm digging the general lee rock buggy:grinpimp:

Scott rides the biggest b!tch  He'll chime in with the specs. Obviously you can only get as narrow as pair of aluminum seats (like Chad's Campbell buggy or Brian's Diablo chassis). Suspension seats require more width, I know mine ended up being something like 8" wider than a pair of beards setting next to each other. More important is narrowing the front as much as possible, eliminate as many hang up points on the undercarriage as possible (boat side or plate as needed) and maximizing approach and departure angles. Belly clearance is a tough call, to low and you get hung up on some stuff, to much and verticals/sidehilling can suck. I went with more belly clearance on my rig so it sits higher than most at the expense of stabiltiy. I now have a rear winch so I can winch down either end, still playing around with the possibilities.

I was there yesterday. Not wheeling. I was out prospecting and I went up to where all the yelling was at and came upon these crazys. :flipoff2:
I did get to see that endo. I hope the occupants are not hurting too bad today.
They hit pretty hard.
As someone who has wheeled all over the west, AZ trails are VERY narrow and have extremely sharp rocks. Actually knife edge and that sharp.
I do have rear steer myself, but this stuff here is so tight it won't help you much at all. You will still bang off the walls. :smokin:

That was fun. So close, but yet so far. I'll have to try harder next time.:smokin:

Rear steer is great for comps but the stuff out here can be done by reg buggys and such. It would probably make some of the stuff too easy and take away some challenge in my books. Ah, who am I kidding I would have it if I could afford it and I don't think Santa is listening.
