I have a Doall bandsaw and I am looking for blade suggestions. I will be cutting mostly 1/8 to 3/8 mild steel and tubing. Any one have any suggestions on blades, tpi , width etc.

You didn't say what size saw, but this is the one I'm using on my 7x12 Jet.

The mixed tpi seems to cut faster and smoother than the fixed tpi blades.

theres a TPI by thickness of material your cutting rule. i want to say 5-6 teath cutting at once but i may be wrong.
1/8th in is quite thin to cut so i say 18+. depends how you cut it also.

I use varible pitch 10-14 blades for cutting varied thickness of steel. Also I started out buying blades from grainger and I would get like a month out of them max with only light cutting on weekends. I tried a lenox and they lasted 4-5 times as long easy.

I have a 16" doall. It has a sweet dial chart on the side of it, It is equiped with a blade welder that works sweet so I can make my own blades. Just wondering what blades are working for everyone else. The dial tells me to use a 14 to 24 tooth blade. 14 for thicker material and 24 for thinner, I guess I expected it to cut faster.
