Fixing to go on my first NM Barbary sheep hunt. Taking my hunting jeep, a 7 mag, binos and a spotting scope. Just looking for some general tips on what to expect other than the rougher the terrain the better they like it and that they taste like shit.

Good boots, Binos(use them, A LOT), lots of water.
Where are you going, specifically? PM me, I'm west of Roswell, and will help if I can. I know them pretty well.
It appears you may have already left for your hunt--good luck!

My buddy dropped one (25.5" Ram) on the highest part of a mountain that was just insane. He drank all his water on the way up, and didn't consider the hellacious journey down. He ended up dehydrated and was falling all over the place. We came close to staying the night on the mountain. I ended up having him drop his pack and leave his gun for the night. This hunt is no joke. I am heading back out for some more this weekend...

OP you mentioned a hunting jeep. any specs? and more importantly pics?!?
Here is my hillbilly hotel rig. I have my 5th wheel all sealed up for the winter and decided to load up the popup with the forklift and chain down the jeep instead of flat towing behind the 5er down 50+ miles of beat to hell ranch roads.

Bad pic of the jeep, but its a 73' with a 304, np435, d300, lockers, 4.56's, it is very dependable, and very ugly. Just the way I like it. I had it laid over for a minute in a washed out road, but managed wiggle out of it without the winch.

Hopefully I'll gets some kick ass action shots both from my 7 mag and my iphone this weekend.
