I replaced the one on my 01 recentally because it was puking fluid out. Dealer said appx. $700, I bought a reman under my uncles account at Advance, and I think it was between $170 and $180. Easy to replace, two hydraulic lines and a few bolts a think, Should have no reason to replace master cylinder unless it is bad too (unless the 05 is that much different from my 01...).
