1959 Chevy Apache. Rear leafs f250 minus a leaf. Front leaf springs are stock from 1959 44 inches x 2inches. 1967 blazer has 44 inches but 2.5 inches wide. 1976 cj5 front springs are 44 inches 2inches wide. They are also cheap on skyjacker. Steeringgeometry is terrible. It has original 1978 Dana 60 ball joints. This truck will only get lumber at lowes and coffee and an occasional Christmas tree. Should I get the sky jacker cj5 springs since they will just slip right in? Dana 70 in the back everything is axle over.

what if you did the cj’s maybe add a leaf or two and change the shackles to further adjust height?
I have 7 inch shackles in the front. Adding a leaf may be the way to go. I’m too worried about the cj springs. My truck came with a v8 option. Same dimensions as the cj. I guess the springs themselves could be thinner…I can look at stock pack thickness. That would say a lot

I know you want to keep the stock length springs, but longer leafs will ride a lot nicer.

I think ur right. Without having to extend the frame I can use ford f150 rears. They are 3 inches wide and 57 inches long. 63 inch chevys would need frame extensions
63s would be too long unless like you said you extend the frame.
2.5 wide rears from a mid 90 Chevy half ton? 56" eye to eye.. that may work? And cheap. Add/ delete leafs until it sits and rides the way you want??
