I put KYB's on my Suburban recently and I think they are a good shock. Really improved the ride and cant beat the price. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

I put Rancho 9000s on my Chevy. I keep 'em at 2 empty, 3 or 4 towing the trailer, and 4 or 5 with the camper and trailer on it. I like the adjustability of the 9000s.

The KYB's are good. A bit stiff on compression and could use a bit more rebound. The Bilstiens are better cause they have more rebound control which is needed when you have a heavy trailer pinching the truck around--helps stabilize the truck so it doesn't get light and get unstable. Rancho's are great on setting 5 for towing. For towing--stiffer or multiple shocks are better.
