I think most people are running a personalized SOA setup... One that they pieced together themselves after a lot of research...

At least that's what I am running...

john...that you??

most people just run 1.5-2.5 inch springs, and weld the perches over top the axle. then you gotta do steering, and driveshafts, brakelines, etc. rubicon express makes a special set of springs for SOA applications

looks pretty good
the tsls can be had from vendors here for about 180..thatll save a little money
keith has a 8.8 that hes looking to sell..maybe talk to him first..with the xj 44 you have to put new perches on anyways, so you might as well go 8.8 and be a little stronger...rest looks pretty good

oh yea...adams got his old 2 inch springs. you could just weld the rears perches SOA, pull the front and do the same. perches are only like 20-30 bucks, so that would save a lot to then buying the conversion kit

well there was a guy selling an XJ D44 in maryland on Jeepforum for 250, and its already sprung over obviously cause its an XJ, itd be bolt in. I thought that wayd be easier. Im still looking around at steering, what you think of Teraflex highsteer D30 kit?

and i know a guy in charlottesville whos got a waggy 44 that hes trying to sell for like 200 bucks. you might wanna think about that if your going to run that low of gears with 36s. the pinion head for d30s become about the size of a quarter with 4:88s.

i dont think xjs/yjs have the same spring pad width, so they would have to be moved again. but either way thats a good deal. remember james has that waggy 44 rear also. the teraflex kit is pretty sweet, and its really easy to install

Only 2 springs? Might want to add another $330 to your total.

I went with used stock YJ springs and a 1" add-a-leaf. Swapped the stock bushings out for poly. A LOT cheaper than $660.

Go find a shop in yourr area that can make brake lines to suit your needs. Should cost aboutt $60-65 for all three.

Get some 2x4x.250 or even .188. Make your own spring perches.

pitman arm can be had for $65?

spring plates, re-use the old, or I could sell you some used skid versions that would probably work for $25 + $9 or so shipping. You could also make your own, which is what we did on mine.

By the time you are done you can probably shave at least $100 off RE's price for their kit.

I didn't see new u-bolts on the list.

better look again your looking at about 700 shipped for all four.
you also forgot brake lines, steering, flattop knuckle and driveshafts. About another grand of shit.

BTW you can get stock replacement HD 7 leaf YJ springs from quadratec for less than 400$ for all four shipped.
5100 bilstiens are a good product look them up, they are cheaper.

Go 4" lifted springs and remove some leaves, REALLY flexy and gives you a great ride. And why would he need flat tops? I don't got em', and I'm fine.

1.5 inch leaf springs, spring over and he doesn't need a flat top? He is spending serious coin on some good stuff and he doesn't need a flat top. Ok... I believe you I know nothing. I'm sorry. Yeah listen to this guy and throw on some 4" springs SOA and get a drop pitman arm. If you can find a 76 waggy 44 it already has flat tops.
