As of this point, I'm thinking 2 chains at the front with two chain binders with chains at the rear. All rated at 5400 lbs. working load with a break rating of 18000 lbs. Sound good?

I use permanent mounted chains to the rear axle, winch cable to the front of the trailer, and 4 10K straps to double secure it.

Always put the fixed chains in the rear. Braking forces are much higher than acceleration forces and you want the chains with the highest force to be fixed length. Put the chain binders in front.

Don't forget to secure the chain binder handles to keep them from bouncing around and coming loose on the road.

Also, don't forget to stop after a short drive and recheck your chains, lights, hitch, tires, and hubs (high temp can mean failing bearings).

Chains and chain binders can work well, but it really is hard to get the system really tight without at least one ratcheting binder. Also, IMHO, you want more than just chains if you're gonna trailer what looks like a seriously spring crawler...

Maybe use the winch to pre-tension the front and a ratchet strap to pre-tension the back of the tub. Not to the bumpstops, just mid-travel... I've seen some folks pre-tension with a strap across the floorboards of the tub, as well.
