I have looked threw 18 pages of posts for nv4500 swaps. I have a 1986 Chevy k30 crew cab. It is a original 454 th400 truck. Someone had swapped a Sm465/ np205 with a mechanical clutch setup. The clutch went south on it & 2nd gear was jumping out on decel. I am in the process of swapping in a 1999 nv4500 and np208 into the truck. I have the hydro throw out bearing hooked to a original type master cylinder. My stupid question is which clutch and flywheel do I use for this setup? Thanks for any help.

The flywheel and clutch should come from the same year/era as the trans.

U need to use the flywheel for the 454. Then just whatever clutch u decide on long as it fits flywheel and splines on trans! Just my 2 cents

I have the sm465/454 flywheel and had got a new sm465 clutch. Already had the 4 speed flywheel resurfaced and new clutch and got a new to me sm465. Then a 1999 3500 with a 454 was being parted on craigslist. They only wanted $350 for trans & transfer case. I was hoping that my old flywheel and clutch would work, Thanks for the help.
