My brother put something like a 2.5" leveling kit on his too, and he is running 35's. One thing you may want to do is price the same size tires in a 16 vs a 16.5" rim. As I recall the 16.5's are quite a bit cheaper.

You can get 285's on it stock height.

You can get 35's on it with a 2.5"-3" lift but it will rub at full lock / full suspension travel. My friend has a Jack-it 2.5" kit (actually about 3" - $225) and it rubs on BFG 35's

Mine don't rub at all (5" of lift).

Your right.

The 16" wheels are cheaper than 16.5, but the 16.5 tires are way cheaper than the 16". It is way cheaper to go with 16.5" wheels, plus you have a greater tire selection with 16.5.
