It adjust to the width fine. It just sits up in the well.

The strap length is fine, I tighten it all in there, it just doesn’t feel 100%. I’ve been using it anyway, but if this was common, i was hoping there was a better solution.

Check to see if Yakima offers a replacement tray that better fits the larger diameter of the 29" wheel?
You would think that would be logical, I called them first (before posting it up and taking y'alls time), and was told that I needed to buy a new rack.

I think I am going to heat it, and try to flex it a little to see if it gets me anything.

I wish i had a big ass 3d printer, I'd think this would be something printable.

Yeah, I looked on their site after I responded to you. Saw nothing. Seems really odd they don't offer that option, given the amount of 29" wheels out there. I agree with either heating and flattening a bit or even trimming some off each end.
