After taking a hiatus from riding Mt. Bikes for about 7-8 years I'm starting to ride again. I don't pay people to work on my Heep so I figure I'd start learning about bikes. So what are the good tech sites for bikes? I'd like to build/maintain my own bike and maybe learn the new standards and such.

Hey, man.. I know you're in Oregon & all, but there's a local "scene" here in Raleigh, NC with some pretty knowlegeable riders.

I have a manual online somewhere of basic bike maintenance I think. Give me some time and I'll see if I can dig it up for you!

mtbreview.com has some decent info on it from time to time. There is aforum that you can ask questions as well as get reviews of products and what not. Just take some of the product reviews with a grain of salt.
For the most part, while technology has improved, it is still all gears and chains. I am sure you won't have any trouble 'catching up'
