That is entirely possible.
That's an excuse to upgrade.
I killed a 23 spline marling input and a stock gear set in two different occasions. They just can't handle the power.

I haven't killed stock 21 spline stuff yet. granted... was about 130 hp worth of warmed over 22re, not 250 hp worth of 1uz.....

Supposed to get the clocking adapter tonight so I can get the engine placement done and start burning in the engine mounts.

Got the mount kit ordered

So engine is mounted hard now.

blue paint was all i had...
got wires poked into cab
got seats at the moonshiner's swap meet this last weekend
4 bills for the pair.

krunch had prp seats in it before, but I don't know what steve did to the seat mounting for his el cheapo seats

The ls400 compressor top plate isn't going to work so well.
So I'll either change out the top plate, just stick a shipping plate on it, or see if one of the other variant's compressors will work better.

There's not a lot of clearance for the pulley either. May need to swap out the clutch for something else if I can't make the room for the steering bolt.

I have a universal "drag race" radiator and a spal fan inbound.
Free time is proving the hardest thing to come by.
Foster boy is out of the house now. My son is getting big enough to start fetching wrenches :)

Had to make the hard choice to go Hannibal Lechter on 'er

needed a little clearance for the radiator/fan

started stitching tube and realized I don't have a 1-3/4 die for my bender.
So I guess I'll be working on the heater core and wiring for a few days while I wait for the dies to arrive.

Northern radiator

Tank is mounted, pressure and return line are run.
After a bunch of wiring, it runs. Currently working on charging wiring.

Heater core is back in.
Got the heater hoses hooked up

Putting tube in

Cats need to be relocated, won't fit in stock locations.

Built downpipes.

Left manifold has to come of to remove broken studs
Cats are ordered, stock ones aren't going to fit.
Right side clearance for slave needs to be addressed. Probably with a hammer.
Got the radiator in and filled, was able to actually run it for a while.

Designed to run with cats.
All sensors will be hooked up. So it gets cats.
It'll stink less, too.
I ended up ordering flowmaster 2.5 short cats.
I got the cats welded to the downpipes, my Y pipe showed up. O2 sensors are screwed in.
Replaced ignition lock
Power steering hose and fittings are ordered.

I think about 3 weeks. The whole having a family, obligations, weekend plans bla bla.
Still a fair bit of welding and bending and stuff.
Most of the parts are ordered. I'll still have to pay for exhaust.
So, yah, hopefully about 3 weeks.

I replaced plugs and wires today. It actually runs right now.

having a family slows it all down unless you can get them involved.
i lost 2 hands (the wife) after we had our kids. now i scream and yell while holding stuff with one foot so i can weld it.
