I started the exhaust. It's gonna be ugly.
But it'll get me on the trail for my trip. Then when I'm able I'll get the exhaust shop to build something.

It's not completely done, but it's effectively done

All 4 corners cleared, no interference besides a slight contact with the exhaust pipe. I can live with that.

And I got the heep soft top thing mounted

That is beyond cool I am glad your resurrected it. I always enjoyed it.
Replacing the power steering pump tonight. Secure some wiring and try to put the rear inner fender rubbers back in.
She's getting a new windshield tomorrow
(Must be a She.... Dual exhaust)
Saturday or Sunday it'll be time for it's first trip out in this configuration.

Gotta wait for friends to send me pics. I haven't really gotten any yet.
The new power steering pump took a shit.
Didn't make for a fun trip back from the rocks.

Nice, where did you end up going?
Naches.
Did great until I jammed it up in the rocks.
I didn't quite have the balls to land it on its side and drive out of it. But the steering pump was failing so it wouldn't likely have worked well for me anyway.

Found some stuff online that should cure my steering issue for about 400 bucks. Not bad.

Cheese pics

The silver rig is another one I built/helped build
That one's a 7mge sura motor rebuilt properly when shaved head and block, metal head gasket, 75 lbs on the bolts, etc.

Well the power steering woes continue.
I replaced the Lexus pump with a trail gear tc style pump. An-10 in an6 out, nearly the same as before. Reservoir higher than inlet.
No assist.
Bled, ran, back and forth, wheels off ground, etc etc.
Swapped in my old trail gear ported box that was a leaker but worked... No change.
I've no experience with ram assist failures, so I'm guessing the ram went tits up?
