If you think this sounds familiar I recently asked about a Mazda CX-7 on the beach. Well literally a couple days after asking the Mazda got t-boned.

And as I was coming home after that accident I saw an x1 for sale for a really decent price.

So same question I googled and found that bmw claim it can drive on the beach and even found a commercial video of it handling the beach.

Also again as previous will only be driving on the most simple beach and hard sand only issues is cuttings on and off beach

And as a best practice, when you stop its always good to have the vehicle pointing slightly downhill. Trying to get moving when pointing up hill can get you buried.

Ended up buying a 2011 X3 6cylinder 3L turbo diesel!

Edit - (Realized typed 2012 instead of 2012)

Steering wheel is on the wrong side, I believe the only way to save yourself from the gheys is to get a sawzall and open that up for some 37" thornbirds.
