the T100 has the 1" bore master cylinder. i just did rear disks and put on the 1980 supra rear calipers. the master cylinder does appear to be able to keep up. i am not sure if the T100 front calipers are any bigger than the V6 minis. The T100 engineers stole a lot of parts from those trucks. Has anyone had experience with this and needed bigger than the 1" master? i can double pump and get better braking. I can push all the way to the floor on one pump and get it to stop. it is just a PITA. since it is about to get the dana44 brakes up front, i wonder whether i should just get it over with now and put the chevy master cylinder in. does anyone have a dana44 front with rear disks and a 1" bore toyota master and have it work? teh FJ80 1" setup has residual valves for front and rear, but i am not sure if the T100 would since it had rear drums.

ya. I do. I have a dana 44 up front and the pedal was very spongey until I put the V6 MC from Allpro in. Brake pedal has been very good now for almost 3 years.

well, teh T100 has a V6 MC with the 1" bore. the only difference may be teh residual valve for teh rear. is the one you got from allpro the FJ80 one?

So, you don't have a residual pressure valve in the rear line? It helped pedal travel on my rear disk setup. Used a 2psi.
no, i do not AFAIK, unless it is built in like the FJ-80 one. do you put the 2 psi residual valve before or after the proportioning valve?

MC for the Runner I think....I just re-read your post and you have rear disc also.....calipers suck up the brake fluid so maybe you might need a bigger MC.

I take it that if you double-pump, the pedal gets harder/higher on the second pump? Does it do this in the driveway (stopped) or only when driving?

If its only when driving, your rotors may have some runout and may be pushing the pistons back into their bores... ?

Yes, the T has slightly bigger pistons in its calipers, but it shouldn't make much difference, or at least have anything to do w/ your problem here.

And I really don't think a "4 wheel disk" LC master is any different than a T100 or other Toy 1" master. There are no valves in any of them AFAIK or have seen.

Residual valves are for DRUM brakes or systems that have the master mounted lower than other parts of the system, and AFAIK Toyota doesn't use them.

However, I have seen where some people have installed them w/ their rear disks as a bandaid, and it seems to have helped.

OTOH, I think Brian at FROR says you shouldn't need one, and I agree. You probably have a problem somewhere that needs fixing...
