I broke the cv joint, and to me it looks like I have to cut the yolk off of the d-shaft. I have read article about replacing one in a bronco, but I don't see anyway of removing this except for cutting. It is a Toyota Tacoma Double Cardan. Here are some pics to help explain. How do I replace this?

Grind the weld down, cut about 1/8" or so into where it was all the way around with a cutoff wheel and then tap the yoke off with a small hammer. Works like a charm.

Thats it? Grind, cut and re-weld the new one on? Should I be worried about breaking it again? I haven't heard of anyone breaking this joint. Will a stock Toyota Tacoma joint be good, or should I find something beefier?
