Pulled this off of a Bronco II and sawzalled the ends (since Toy's are curved, and the bronco 2 has a straight front bumper) so it would tuck the winch in tight. It actually tucks under the grill, so it's got a great approach angle for a non-tube bumper, and I feel comfortable (read: I have been) pushing dead trees down with it.

Just so you get an idea, here's a pic of what the orignial bumper (this one wasn't chrome) looked like before the transformation:

Total cost (minus winch): $48.55

Is that a Warn bumper? If it is I hope you mounted it good in the center. I watched a guy with a Warn bumper winching over some rocks and he bent the heck out the bumper in the middle as the Jeep stayed in the same place!!! Looks pretty good for a Ford part on a Toyota!!!!!!

Yup it's a warn. Take a look at the first pic again. Those two brackets at the ends of the framerails are 3/8" plate.

It holds fine... I pulled a 2WD(!) Diesel 1 ton 4 door chevy dualie (the 2-block-long flavor) out of a hole with it. It stalled my 10K winch, double lined with an ARB snatch block, and the bumper held fast. He had to play "dig 3 feet underwater with a shovel the size of a small cup" to clear enough dirt for me to pull him free.

Forgot to mention, OOPS: This is an OLD Warn bumper. It's about 3/8" thick in the middle (the new ones are barely 1/4")

Plus we burned new weld along the edges, since the old ones looked iffy (Maybe that's how the one you saw failed - It would lose structural integrity fast if they failed)

Oh, and it's coated with duplicolor spray-on bedliner, and I plan on adding a FAT brushguard, since I've busted buth turn signals on trees.

Never been to Tellico or Beasley. Want to sometime though. Hopefully after the SAS and a second locker, though. I'd like to have it locked F&R, on 35s, and non-IFS before I'd really have the confidence to GET IT hard.

I am going up to KY to run Land Between the Lakes at the end of the month. You ever been to Batesville, AR? Fun stuff from what I hear.

Usually, we just run trails around memphis. We can roll around for 8 hours and never hit the same place twice... or even come close to getting to all the trails. Usually a day-long ride will involve around 10 trucks getting stuck, but we're all pretty well prepared... so it's not that hard anymore.
